Social Daytime Activities

Football for Seniors

Still feel you have football left in you but would like to play in a manner and spirit that more reflects your mature status? Then maybe one of our projects at Taunton Vale Sports Club is for you.

Clearly Seniors ( 60ish+) every Monday except Bank Holidays at 2.30pm (please note, this is not walking football!) Check the "Daytime Social Activities" page for Walking Football opportunities.

Nearly Seniors (35ish+) every Wednesday Sept - May at 8.00pm

Cost £4.00 per session

Walking Football (Mixed)

A sport that has received an unexpected profile after featuring in a recent advert on TV! Not aimed at a specific age group but perfect for those whose circumstance dictates that walking would be better than running.

Will always be indoors so completely weather proof, Tuesday mornings 10.15 at Taunton Vale Sports Club.

We can now confirm that sessions have started in Bridgwater. either at the Bridgwater YMCA Centre (Friarn Avenue) Wednesdays 12.00 - 1.00pm

Walking Netball (Ladies only)

Similar to it's football counterpart. Not played for a long time? Not sure the full running game is for you? Then this may well be the perfect reintroduction for you! Again, no age group limitations!

Will always be indoors so completely weather proof, Tuesday mornings 9.15am at Taunton Vale Sports Club.

Friday Morning Netball

A turn up and play session, particularly suited to those who have a bit of time on their hand on a Friday morning, but aren't able or don't want to commit to regular competitive Netball.

Loved it at school but haven't played for quite a while? This may be your route back! Friday mornings 9.30am at Taunton Vale Sports Club

Yoga in the Treetops

Aimed at but not exclusively for, people living with and beyond Cancer. Meets on Monday mornings 10.30 am in the fabulous upstairs room (Parkroom) at the COACH Centre in French Weir Park, Taunton.

The Yoga focuses on the postures and relaxation elements of Yoga rather than the spiritual aspects favoured by some classes. There is no need to book a place, simply turn up.
Mats are provided but you are very welcome to bring your own.
