Football for Seniors

Still feel you have football left in you but would like to play in a manner and spirit that more reflects your mature status? Then maybe one of our projects at Taunton Vale Sports Club is for you.

Clearly Seniors (60ish+) every Monday except Bank Holidays (please note, this is not walking football!) Check the "Daytime Social Activities" page for Walking Football opportunities. Clearly Seniors Football (regular football for over 60's) every Monday 2.45pm @ Taunton Vale Sports Club. Outdoors on 3G Astroturf though Indoors in extremely inclement weather.

Nearly Seniors Football (regular football for over 40's) every Thursday 7.00pm @ Taunton Vale Sports Club, Indoors Sept - April, Outdoors on 3G Astroturf May - August. Please note; This is a different day and Venue to some previous notifications.

Cost £4.00 per session

Walking Football (Mixed)

A sport that has received an unexpected profile after featuring in a recent advert on TV! Not aimed at a specific age group but perfect for those whose circumstance dictates that walking would be better than running.

Taunton Walking Football every Tuesday 10.00am @ Taunton Vale Sports Club. No need to book, just turn up.

Bridgwater Walking Football every Wednesday 11.00am at Hinkley Point pitches, Bath Road. No need to book, just turn up

Walking Netball (Ladies only)

Similar to it's football counterpart. Not played for a long time? Not sure the full running game is for you? Then this may well be the perfect reintroduction for you! Again, no age group limitations!

Will always be indoors so completely weather proof, Tuesday mornings 9.30am at Taunton Vale Sports Club.

Pay and Play Netball

A turn up and play session, particularly suited to those who want to enjoy playing Netball, but aren't able or don't want to commit to regular competitive Netball at this moment in time.

Social Badminton

Fun, Social Badminton for those who do not wish or are unable to commit to a formal Badminton club. No commitment needed, no partner required (though you are welcome to bring one) just turn up and Play

Monday evenings, 7 - 8pm in the sportshall at Haygrove School, Bridgwater

Yoga in the Treetops

Aimed at but not exclusively for, people living with and beyond Cancer. Meets on Monday mornings in the fabulous upstairs room (Parkroom) at the COACH Centre in French Weir Park, Taunton. There are 3 sessions of varying levels of intensity. 9.00am is the most intense, then 10.15am then 11.15am for a primarily chair based session

The Yoga focuses on the postures and relaxation elements of Yoga rather than the spiritual aspects favoured by some classes. There is no need to book a place, simply turn up.
Mats are provided but you are encouraged to bring your own.
