Support for Respiratory Conditions

Staying active in safe and manageable ways is key for people with COPD and other respiratory conditions. Gentle movement helps your body function more efficiently, improving stamina and reducing breathlessness during daily tasks. Over time, regular activity can help make everyday life more achievable and boost your confidence in what your body can do. Physical activity also strengthens the muscles around your lungs, so they need less oxygen, making it easier to breathe as you become more active.

The emotional impact of COPD should not be underestimated. It is common to feel anxious, frustrated or low, especially when symptoms restrict your daily activities. Supported activities and group participation not only offer encouragement and reassurance but also help you feel connected and understood.
