Thrive Time

Thrive Time is a structured, evidence-informed approach to strengthening wraparound provision across Somerset primary schools.

We support schools to move beyond basic childcare and develop high-quality, inclusive wraparound environments that contribute meaningfully to pupil wellbeing, engagement and belonging.

Through mentoring, training and practical enrichment resources, Thrive Time helps settings embed purposeful physical activity, creative enrichment and child-led practice within before-school, after-school and holiday provision.

Our model is grounded in physical literacy, developing children’s confidence, motivation and competence to engage in movement for life, alongside a strong focus on inclusion, particularly for pupils with SEND and those facing disadvantage.

Schools receive:

  • Targeted mentoring from experienced wraparound practitioners
  • Low-preparation, adaptable enrichment toolkits
  • Training in inclusive planning and pupil voice
  • Quality assurance guidance aligned to best practice

The result is provision that supports regulation, builds confidence, strengthens peer relationships and enhances the wider school culture.

Thrive Time works in partnership with schools, providers and local stakeholders to create sustainable, high-quality wraparound offers that support both families and long-term pupil development.
