Holiday Activities & Food Programme - For Providers
Applications for Winter 2023 provision opens on 18th Sept.
During the winter school holidays, SASP and Somerset County Council will once again joined forces to deliver fun activities along with healthy food, under the name 'Happy Healthy Holidays Somerset'.
HHHS provides funding to enable local groups to deliver a variety of holiday activities including food to children eligible for benefits-related free school meals across Somerset.
In June 2022, Minister Will Quince wrote to all schools explaining the importance of the Holiday Activity and Food programme, and how schools can support children and families to get involved and access opportunities. Read the Minister's letter here.
Applications for the HHHS Winter programme are open between Monday 18th September and midnight on Wednesday 11th October.
We intend to fund 3000 places across Somerset in the Winter 2023 programme.
The winter delivery period is across 4 days as follows:
- Monday 18th December
- Tuesday 19th December
- Wednesday 20th December
- Thursday 21st December
Please note that these are the only dates available for funding.
