Training is Delivered in Three Parts
Part 1 – Attend a Health Walk (if you haven't already)
If you haven't already attended one of our Health Walks, we ask that you join a walk before attending the training workshop. This will give you the opportunity to gain an understanding of how our Health Walks are delivered, experience a walk from a participant's perspective, and see the role of the Walk Leader in action.

Attend the Walk Leader Training workshop of your choice. Workshops run from 10:00 am – 1:30 pm and include a refreshment break and a short demonstration walk.
○ Monday 7 December 2026 (10:00 am – 1:30 pm) – Taunton, Wellington & West Somerset (SASP Office, Wellington)
Part 3 – Supported Practice
Following the workshop, you will be supported to lead a Health Walk and put your learning into practice with the support of an experienced Walk Leader or a member of the Health Walks Team.
Before the Training Workshop
Closer to the workshop date, we will contact you and ask you to complete a short pre-training questionnaire. This helps us understand any support, accessibility, or learning needs you may have so that we can make the workshop as inclusive and enjoyable as possible.
