Tone Festivals

Tone Schools have adopted a festival structure giving each primary school the opportunity to attend a series of festivals.
Please see the below Festival expectations and guidelines below, which will vary slightly from cluster to cluster:

School Year | Activity | Description |
Reception & Year 1 | Multi Skills Festival | Pupils will experience a range of fun multi-skill activities designed to improve their agility, balance, coordination and fundamental movement skills. |
Year 2 | Multi Sports Festival | Aimed at extending the Multi skills festival to play end zone games in under arm throwing, over arm throwing, rolling and kicking. |
Year 3 | Athletics Festival | Pupils will experience a range of activities designed to improve their running, throwing and jumping. |
Year 3 | Invasion Festival | Designed around Netball, Football, Tag Rugby and Basketball. Students will do both general and specific skills in these sports |
Year 4 | Net Wall Festival | Pupils will experience a range of multi-skill activities needed to succeed in the Net / Wall sports of tennis, table-tennis, volleyball and badminton. |
Year 4 | Orienteering Festival | Pupils will experience a range of orienteering based activities followed by both short and longer orienteering courses. Orienteering map: uploads/norton-manor-basic-map-(no-controls).pdf |
Year 5 | Strike/Field festival | Pupils will experience a range of fun multi-skill activities needed to succeed in the Strike / Field sports of cricket, rounders and tri-golf. |
Year 5 | Playground Leaders Festival | Pupils will take part in a range of activities designed around teamwork and communication to help become Playground Leaders |
Year 6 | Games Festival | Pupils will play mini games in a range of sports |
