Sensory Sports

SASP are passionate that every disabled child and young person in the Somerset has access to play, friendship and exercise.
We aim to provide sessions that are accessible and tailored for children and young people (6 - 16 yrs. old) with disabilities. We aim to provide sessions throughout the year. The sessions will have several different areas which will be accessible for those with the most severe physical difficulties through to those who are more active with emotional or behavioural difficulties. Siblings are welcome in the sessions and families are encouraged to play together although there will be a 'pop-up' café for a well-deserved rest.
Upcoming Sessions:

Sensory Circuits are designed to work on the fundamentals of learning and senses. By doing them regularly you can build up strength and proprioceptive, vestibular and tactile senses.
-
Find out everything you need to know about running sensory tennis sessions for people with complex disabilities.
-
This resource is designed to help plan and deliver sensory walks, and is in two sections - planning a walk, and making a walk sensory.
