Revive Sports Programme
About the Revive Programme
The Revive Sports Programme gives people (aged 18+) who are undertaking their journey to recover from drug and alcohol addiction (or other mental health challenges) the chance to get active and enjoy some new physical activity experiences. It is also suitable for those who are temporarily sober or drug free to participate in.
The programme offers a variety of sessions and aims to provide participants with the physical and emotional benefits of exercise along with the opportunity to socialise in new environments.
Alongside this, individuals can opt in for training, volunteering and employment opportunities if they wish. This would be done through our working partnership with PLUSS.

At SASP we are extremely passionate about providing sport and physical activity opportunities to everybody in Somerset whatever their physical ability, personal background, and current lifestyle circumstances. We truly believe physical activity is not only a key component in health and well being but also has the unique ability to bring people together, build confidence, renew social skills and rebuild lives.
Working alongside our partner organisations, participants on the programme can utilise the skills of an employment coach to further their personal development and find volunteer or employment opportunities. This offers participants an extremely positive gateway to reintegrate fully back into society.
The Revive Programme empowers individuals to take action for themselves and gives them opportunities to meet new people, build up their confidence and resilience and provides a pathway to access mainstream sports clubs if they choose.
