On Friday 18th October, the Somerset Primary PE Conference took place at Canalside in Bridgwater. Over 80 delegates came to the conference entitled 'Active
Across The Curriculum and Beyond'.
The conference included many workshops aimed at extending opportunities for children to become more physically active in a range of situations both in and
out of curriculum time.
Create Development took part in the conference with a workshop aimed at 'Family Engagement' through the 'real play'
Real play is a fantastic resource that links directly with real PE and can be used as an extension of PE sessions at school where children
take books, skills cards and games home with them to play with their families. At the conference all delegates received a free home story book and FUNS
skills mini cards set.
Real Play can also be used as a club where children and adults come together to play and learn together.
