Boardman named Active Travel England commissioner
Sport England's chair, Chris Boardman will lead the government's cycling and walking executive agency after he was confirmed as the interim commissioner of the newly formed Active Travel England.

Sustrans Big Pedal is back - 19th - 30th April 2021
Sustrans Big Pedal is the UK's largest inter-school cycling, walking, wheeling and scooting challenge.
Schools compete to see who can record the greatest number of pupils, staff and parents making active journeys to school. The challenge will run from 19 to 30 April. It is free to enter and there are daily prizes to be won.

The 4 week active travel game - Beat the Street Bridgwater, has finally come to an end. SASP has worked in partnership with Intelligent Health, Sedgemoor District Council, Somerset County Council, Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group and Sport England, who provided us with National Lottery funding to deliver this 4 week test and learn project.

£120k for Temporary Measures to Encourage Walking and Cycling
