SASP welcomes new board members

SASP would like to announce the successful recruitment of 4 new board members to compliment our existing board.
We welcome John Turner, CEO of Visit Somerset the official Destination Management Organisation for Somerset, Rachel Stark, who has over 20 years' of experience in the NHS and is very fortunate to have undertaken a number of roles in this time alongside her GP Practice Management role, Joanna Whitehead, Service Manager at Somerset County Council supporting the education and skills development strategy attached to the new Hinkley Point C nuclear new build in Somerset and finally Adrian Gardner, Head of Environmental Services at Sedgemoor District Council. In line with our recent strategy launch and the changing landscape, we feel we have individuals that will provide the organisation access to more diverse networks and will aid SASP in embedding physical activity into daily lives through our partners and stakeholders involved in health, schools, youth networks and the environment.
Our new board members have a wealth of knowledge and are all very passionate about making Somerset healthier and happier.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Kevin Freedman who has chaired the SASP board for 9 years and welcome new chair, Andrew Cockcroft.
