We are pleased to announce that SASP are partnering with Frimley Health and Care in support of the #MovingIs campaign this year.
Following on from the success of the #MovingCan campaign in August last year; this new campaign starts on 13th May. #MovingIs is a social media campaign aimed at helping people to find their motivation to overcome the most common barriers to getting more active. It is split along 7 days, in which you will see co-ordinated social media posts.
Finding the motivation to change can be really hard - but there is support available:
When you are considering a change in your lifestyle, you might want to think about a couple of crucial things:
- How important is it for you to make the change?
- How confident are you that you can do it?
On a scale of 1-10 (1 being not at all and 10 being very), the higher both of these are for you, the easier it will be to start and maintain a change.
The #MovingCan campaign last year provided information on the mental and physical benefits of exercise. This can help you see just how important physical activity is. You should also ask yourself why it's important for you to be fitter, healthier and more active. Try making a list and keeping it somewhere you can look back on it.
We hope that the new #MovingIs campaign can help you with your confidence in getting involved in something active. Remember to follow the daily posts from 13th May to 20th May, and also share your experiences and ideas too!
