Stourport TA Stourport HC is delighted to have been appointed as the EH Talent Academy (TA) for the West Midlands and looking to recruit Lead and Assistant Coaches for the boys and girls squads; a fantastic opportunity to develop elite junior players along with expanding your own coaching experience within a new dedicated performance environment. Talent Academies are the new pathway for the most talented 15–18-year-olds. TAs will provide weekly, top-quality coaching and training through a combination of dedicated sessions. Every TA will have a squad of players selected through a robust process based on the England Hockey Player Profile.

About Stourport Hockey Talent Academy (TA) Lead Coach (x2)

Lead Coach Responsibilities To work with the TA Director to develop and deliver the TA programme in a supportive club environment.

Lead and plan weekly sessions (including classroom content) to be delivered within the GB Talent System Framework.
Available to attend all sessions, including athlete selection from late Aug 2022 and approximately 400 hours from September 2022 to mid-July 2023 to include a mixture of evenings, training, competition days and festivals.
To motivate and develop players individually and as a group.

Your Experience
A proven track record of developing junior players in a performance environment.
Use of Video Analysis to improve individual player and team feedback.
Hold the England Hockey 'Hockey Coach' (level 2) qualification.
Conversant with and able to deliver within the GB Talent system Framework and Hockey Intelligence.

Hold a current Safeguarding and Protecting Children Workshop and First Aid (within last 3 years). Undergo an enhanced DBS Check.

Your Skills and Qualities
Able to work as a lead coach and as part of a team, to deliver the development programme.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Enthusiastic, inspirational and motivational.
A team player.
Reliable and punctual.
