We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and self-motivated individual to join our Active Communities team. The role will involve working in a number of geographical ‘hotspot’ areas to engage with the county’s least active priority target groups. A good communicator with an understanding of communities, along with experience in developing relationships, building trust, and working in partnership with a range of community organisations is essential to the role.

Northamptonshire Sport is a leading physical activity, health and wellbeing charity based in Northamptonshire, delivering national initiatives locally.
We deliver sport participation events, physical activity programmes, wellbeing projects and collaborate with local and national partners to change attitudes and behaviours, tackle inequalities and support communities to change lives through widening participation in physical activity. We are passionate about sport in its widest possible sense - the joy and tangible benefits of being active.
With now have a vacancy within our Active Communities team to continue the good work that has been initiated in two of our 'hotspot' areas in North Northants; Kingswood in Corby and Avondale Grange in Kettering.
We are looking for a good communicator with a good understanding of communities and experience of using a place-based approaches to support community driven development. Experience of developing relationships, building trust and working in partnership with a range of community organisations is also essential to the role.
A curious and learning mindset with a willingness to capture, exchange knowledge and share learning with peers and colleagues is also essential.
A professional/career background in sport or physical activity is not essential, but a personal passion and dedication to supporting people to be active is.
