Place Based Work - Frome
This post in Frome is part funded by SASP and Frome LCN (Local Community Network) to provide sporting/ physical activity opportunities to children and young people aged 9-16 in Frome and surrounding areas.
Below is a summary of our progress through 2023.
Talk Activity
Talk Activity is a pupil voice project over a 3-4 week period where the aim is to try and understand what children and young people want, understand what's going on in their local areas, barriers they are facing and future steps to overcome these.
Development Days
Development days are a one day event whereby multiple schools can grow connections/ improve relationships with community clubs and schools. Within the last year, we have hosted various development days including basketball, football, tennis and athletics.
Holiday / Half Term Provision
Over the last year we have hosted over 6 holiday/half term camps with over 1600 children in Frome and surrounding villages involved. In addition, we've worked with external providers such as IG, Pro coaching and over 12 organisations to deliver provision for ages 5-16.
