The Living Well with Type 2 Diabetes course is a 6 week programme designed to give you an understanding of the condition and how lifestyle changes can help you to live well with diabetes. It will also be an opportunity to meet people who are also living with diabetes and talk to each other about the realities of the condition. The course will be a combination of a topical chat followed by a light activity session.

Living Well with Type 2 Diabetes - May 2022

The 6 week Living Well with Diabetes course will focus on giving you an understanding of Type 2 diabetes and how lifestyle changes can help you to live well with diabetes. We will cover a range of topics through the 6 weeks, including an introduction to type 2 diabetes, the effects of physical activity and tips for a healthy diet. We will be looking to support you to make healthy choices and take care of both your physical and mental health.

As this course is a group environment there will be the opportunity to talk to others living with type 2 diabetes and get group support on the challenges you may face as well as sharing successes with others who understand what it is like to live with diabetes.

The sessions will include a topical chat and then 30minutes of light physical activity such as Pilates, strength work and boxercise to name a few.

The course dates are:

  1. 4th May 2022
  2. 11th May 2022
  3. 18th May 2022
  4. 25th May 2022
  5. 1st June 2022
  6. 8th June 2022

Booking

This is a 6 week course that runs every Wednesday from the 4th May. You should be prepared to commit to the full 6 weeks.
