SASP supports junior coaching at thirteen junior hockey clubs around the county which all train on Astro Turf Pitches. We ensure that clubs have the latest equipment available. This ensures that skills are easily taught and easy to learn.
And there are no muddy boots or shorts to clean next day!
Clubs are run to the highest possible degrees of professionalism. All coaches leading sessions are qualified under England Hockey’s Coaching Awards Scheme and will have attended Child Protection Workshops.
Juniors can attend a session and learn how to run around with a potentially lethal weapon in their hands trying to hit a hard ball even harder – confident that they will all be able to leave at the end of the session with the same number of limbs as when they started and with their faculties intact.
And they will have been able to play a great team sport into the bargain.
