The Board, under the guidance of Cricket Development Manager Andy Fairbairn, have a team of dedicated full time Development Officers and Volunteers working towards these aims.
All cricket clubs in Somerset are encouraged to affiliate to the Board and in return receive a number of associated benefits. There are numerous other activities undertaken by the SCB which include Coach Education, Schools Cricket, Competitions and Tournaments, ClubMark Accreditation, Focus Club Development, Chance to Shine Projects, Commercial Coaching, District Cricket and the ECB Performance structure.
A key factor in achieving the SCB objectives in these areas is the relationship with the County Sports Partnerships and SASP.
